Stumptown #1

Written by Greg Rucka art by Matthew Southworth

Amidst a barrage of glowing reviews Oni Press have reported that, less than one week after its initial release, Greg Rucka and Matthew Southworth’s new series STUMPTOWN is completely sold out from Diamond Comic Distributors.  And I’m not surprised, Stumptown is a great start to what looks set to be another brilliant crime comic (although more of a P.I. comic) by Greg Rucka.  Here’s the spiel…

Dex is the proprietor of Stumptown Investigations, and a fairly talented P.I. Unfortunately, she's less adept at throwing dice than solving cases. Her recent streak has left her beyond broke—she's into the Confederated Tribes of the Wind Coast for 18 large. But maybe Dex's luck is about to change. Sue-Lynne, head of the Wind Coast's casino operation, will clear Dex' debt if she can locate Sue-Lynne's missing granddaughter. But is this job Dex's way out of the hole or a shove down one much much deeper?

If you read Scalped or Criminal then you need to be reading Stumptown, it’s that simple.

That’s it from me, Modern Warfare 2 needs my attention.  If you want to read a proper review of Stumptown head over to Stinkbrown (The Web Haunt of Ryan K Lindsay).  Also look out for a feature Ryan has written that will appear in the next issue of Criminal!
